TOPIC:  THE REVIVAL AND THE CHURCH - PART 2

TEXT: Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.   Acts 11:22 KJV

Happy New week, This week, God will take away bitterness from your camp, your Joy will not turn to mourning, He will raise help for you and grace will accompany you, Amen.

I did a deeper study about the early church according to the Acts of the Apostles and I came to the realisation that the church was strong on revival and soul winning.

Peter the revivalist preached in the first crusade after Pentecost and 3,000 souls were won. In another crusade, through the power of the Holy Spirit, he was able to get 5,000 genuine souls added to the church.

Was these possible because he was a good preacher or because of his oratory influence, was it because of his sarcastic or his handsome face? No! Two things were actually involved: His message and the role of the church.

Though Peter was at the fore front but all the necessary support and encouragement needed was actually given by the church and associates behind the scene.

If this could happen then with greater impact, then I think the same model is still available for the church to use today to generate higher impact in this present age. If all churches could be committed in given the full support and encouragement to the cause of revival, revival of fire will soon spread.

ACTION POINT: You are part of the church that need to give his/her little support and encouragement to revival. Do your part!

PRAYER: Oh Lord, birth in every church the spirit of revival, Amen.

TOPIC:  TIME FOR REVIVAL - PART 3

TEXT: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9 KJV

In the last episode, we discussed that revival just don't happen, but there's a process. And we said the bedrock of this process of revival is deep intercession (prayer).

The other process has to do with the sent - believers. Every believer has a role and a responsibility to ensure revival speak in the land again. It is a wrong perception on the part of any believer that only the ministers holding the five fold office should have the burden for revival. No!

You are called too according to the text for today. Your calling is to show forth the light you have received from God to where darkness still looming. To show forth the name of Jesus to the unsaved world. Its your job to see that Christ must be preached in all the corners of the world

The actual revival begins with you at that place you are. For the fire of revival to sweep across the land, then You have to understand the purpose of this revival and start from the corner you are. I bet you, you are an agent of change.

ACTION PLAN: Think about the reason why you are saved from darkness to light and start acting according to your thought.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, help me understand fully my calling.

TOPIC:  TIME FOR REVIVAL - PART 1

TEXT: They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. Hosea 14:7 KJV

Happy New week Beloved, this week will definitely bring answers to all your life's puzzle in Jesus name, Amen.

In one of my IGNITE series, I discussed the need for a revival in the land. I opined that the wind of revival is blowing towards Nigeria and that people are once again yearning for a new great awakening in the Christendom.

Just recently, I again patiently observed the latest trend in the Christendom now that would have been the best because many talk, shout, jump, cry and preached about it but it's actually few people that are really doing something about it. And that is REVIVAL!

Oh! I am not in any way only talking about the revival we conducted in our churches today that end up making people slumber more. I am not talking of all the ministers conferences that teach us that ministry has 'technics' that can bring impacts. I am not in anyway talking about the school of 'tongues' or the new acrobatic style on the altars.

But I am talking of the revival of simple obedience to the last commandment of the master which instructed us to GO.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:   Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen".
Matthew 28:19-20 KJV

That is the revival I am talking about! I cannot understand a better time for God's great visitation in the land other than now. God is looking for the DOERS not just the talkers. People that are ready to make themselves available as a vessel.

ACTION POINT: If we all rise to become the Apostles that ACT, REVIVAL will surely overshadow the land.

PRAYER POINT: Oh Lord, help me to be the doer of your commandments, Amen.

TOPIC: LET THE ARK BE BACK - PART 5a

TEXT: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul. 1 Chronicles 13:3 KJV

Good morning Beloved! I trust you had a wonderful night rest. God will grant you a continuous all round victory today in Jesus name, Amen.

Today, we'll continue our discussion on the errors committed by David in the cause of bringing back the Ark of covenant.

David's fourth error was that he carried the sacred Ark of God on a mere cart.

"And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart". 1 Chronicles 13:7 KJV

Right from the inception from the time of Moses, the Ark had always be carried by the Levites bearing it on their shoulders. That was the laid down rules and ordinance from God. That rule cannot be changed irrespective of the circumstances or who you are.

Oh! King David felt the days and time of Moses was past, this is a new era. Technology has come with the invention of cart, now will be the best time to use something more sophisticated without consulting the manufacturer's manual for the Ark. Does that sound like you too?

Beloved! No matter the circumstances, conditions or options available to you in your marriage, ministry and life either in the name of packaging, rebranding, technology or invention, don't place God's Ark committed to your charge on cart without first consulting the manual God has made for the Ark for your life.

Action Point: I make a commitment to consult God on issues pertaining to my life despite options given me by the world.

Prayer: May I not loose out on your plans, ways and will for me all in the name of sophistication and advancement.

IGNITE - JANUARY SERIES: EPISODE 10

TOPIC: LET THE ARK BE BACK - PART 5

TEXT: And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul. 1 Chronicles 13:3 KJV

Happy new month Beloved, this month will definitely release increase to our bosom, Amen. I thank God for all the comments, testimonies and response coming from you through this IGNITE platform.

We are discussing the errors committed by David in the cause of bringing back the Ark of covenant. The first error we discussed was that he consulted men before consulting God while his second error was that he chose people above the priests and Levites, the original custodians of the Ark.

David's third error was that he followed the crowd.

"And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people".
1 Chronicles 13:4 KJV

Crowd may be wrong Beloved. That the whole Israel supported the decision and method of bringing back the Ark still did not change how God wanted it to be done.

The truth remains that what God may be saying to you or asking you to do may be considered crude or not widely accepted by others, yet that will not render it obsolete.

The person who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. No matter the level of his/her wisdom, mediocrity will always be his compatriot.

If David became a typical example of a person who followed the crowd and the end was not palatable for him, I think it's of utmost importance to learn from his errors.

ACTION POINT: Crowd may be wrong, be careful of who you follow.

PRAYER: Lord, help me more in getting a sure leading from you before moving.
